We gather together as a faith family through out the week, so we can be equipped and encouraged to be salt and light through the city of Mayo. Our Sunday focus is on corporate worship in our sanctuary and age-appropriate Bible teaching through Sunday school. On Wednesday nights we fellowship through a meal together and then break off into our various groups. We have classes for our children and youth and the adults worship together through song and the preaching of the Word of God. When you visit we encourage you to fill out a visitor’s card so that we can learn more about you and understand how to more intentionally pray for you.
Worship
We are blessed at Mayo Baptist with a talented choir and instrumentalists. We mix contemporary worship songs with traditional hymns in the effort to achieve a great balance of blended worship. Our worship is intentionally planned to prepare hearts and minds so they can receive what God will say through the preaching of His Word.
Dress attire
At Mayo Baptist we encourage you to come as you are. Most people that attend our church wear business-casual attire; some wear suits, ties and dresses and others wear Polo’s with jeans. We believe that God sees our heart and that’s what He cares about most; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose, it’s about the heart that is prepared before Him.
Worship Times
Sunday Mornings
Our Sunday morning Worship Service begins at 11:00am. During this time we have a full nursery for infants and toddlers. We also have Children’s Church that leaves the sanctuary after our time of Worship through the duration of the service.
We have Sunday School classes for every age group and situation of life. They meet at 9:45 am.
Sunday Evenings
We gather together at 6:00 pm for mostly traditional worship through Hymns followed by a message from God’s Word.
Wednesday Evenings
We gather every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm for a fully provided meal so that we can have a time of growing closer together. At 7:00 pm we meet in the sanctuary for a time of mostly contemporary Worship followed by age appropriate learning.
